Screaming Penguin - Source Does Matter

News.com has its annual Year in Review ready to go. The news.com fare features sections on various topics, Open Source, Politics, Gaming, Hardware, Networking, etc (most sections are already there, others will follow soon).

OnJava also has a biggest articles of O4 post. (The leaders this year for the Java world appear to have been Eclipse and Hibernate.)

Props to everybody who contributed to open source stuff in 04. At this moment in time I am using a Linux firewall to post to an Apache powered site that uses PHP and MySQL via the Firefox web browser (and my email arrives via Sendmail and my home network is connected via Samba and . . . on and on and on).
