Screaming Penguin - Source Does Matter

Google has hired one of the lead Firefox developers, Ben Goodger (great name for a "googler" eh?). They have also apparently registered the name growser.com and continued sponsorship of Mozilla. That coupled with other "signs" such as the internal code of the Desktop Search application referring to a Google browser and protocol, the hiring of other browser developers, and so on has led many, myself included, to speculate that Google is building a browser based on Gecko and will unleash it upon the masses.

Goodger says he will continue work on Firefox 1.1 (Deer Park), 1.5 (The Ocho) and 2.0 (?) while at Google.
