After the recent news that Apple will buy Intel chips and OSX has already been running on such since its inception, it simply follows that major x86 resellers would desire to allow the "upgrade to OSX" option. There has been speculation/statement that it would simply be cool as hell to order a Dell and select OSX.
Well it seems Michael Dell thinks so too. Now of course he does, and basically all he has really said is that he would certainly sell it if it were there (not anything about wanting that option made available, just that he would do it if it were). Hopefully privately Dell is pushing a bit harder than that.
There are pros and cons of course, as the linked Ars article points out but I gotta believe in the long run its much better for Apple to play ball and market the OS anywhere it can.
