"Caveat lector" Wikipedia per Ars

Wikipedia is of course the best thing since linked computers on a network with a browseable interface and protocols and so on. Lately it has gotten some attention for the Adam Curry debacle and other entries where the information was incorrect (whether or not deliberate). Some folks are pissed to the point of lawsuits. Should we bag Wikipedia because every entry may not be accurate and or just plain disagreeable to an individuals ideology? As Ars points out the answer is hell no. Dont like an entry then do some more research on the matter, its still the Internet (look into it further) and if its inaccurate EDIT IT - dont sue, thats completely missing the point. If you are upset others might be reading misinformation ABOUT you (this is where the lawsuits begin) then you better keep an eye on your entries, tell an editor its not accurate. (If you are not insecure and dont really care, even if there is something inaccurate, then well . . . you are not the one suing anyway now are you.) UPDATE I filled out some stuff on Wikipedia today, if you feel I have erred in some way and you wish to sue wp or me then you must be a lowlife "snake in the grass" as it were - my contribution today.
