That is what the big announcement planned for later today will be (or at least that is what has been mentioned as a strong possibility). Not free TiVO altogether, free hardware and less or zero up front cost, higher monthly subscrip.

Ok, apparently the actual announcement was a lot less exciting, despite the hype. Not free hardware, yet, rather a kid "safe" area - LaMeO.
