SOAPui is a desktop java app that you can point at a WSDL and generate a client and requests. From there you can also make all kinds of test cases for SOAP. soapui is a desktop application for inspecting, invoking and testing (functional and load) of web services over HTTP.

Though after I posted this story today I ran into the fact that it does not yet support attachments ;). I have been using it for a while and just got to the attachments part. The FAQ says SOAPui will support attachments in the next rev, August 06.
