And once again the MPAA and its brethren will certainly eventually catch on, being drug kicking and screaming to the money trough, but do not come up with this on their own accord. (They are too busy with that great CSS stuff and lobbying to get laws such as the DMCA in place - really great for their customers.) Note that the linked CNN article says the porn industry ALSO started the home video market itself (thats news to me, I am not sure whether or not it is accurate, but it sure is not surprising given the brilliance of the MPAA).
