Checked it out today,...looks pretty nice. If you try to build any of the smaller laptops on Dell or through Toshiba you will end up spending about $200+ more and get much less.
You have to pay a $200 premium to get the black mat version, though after seeing it, I would have to fork it over.
Yeah I like the black too. Good point about the other machines, once you get them comparable the Mac price "difference" does vanish (or as you note become better for the Mac).
I think the exact difference of an upgraded white one versus a black one with the exact same components is $150. So yeah its 150 bucks JUST FOR THE COLOR, but I agree, might be worth it.

I saw on at the apple store today. They are quite nice. They have a throw back to the "Wallstreen" model feel about them.
I didn't even realize they came in black until I saw one sitting there.
