Screaming Penguin - Source Does Matter

Google Reader has gotten an update

Previously Reader was, well, less than stellar, now it is quite nice.

There are a plethora of great features, this is what a feed reader has always aspired to be, but there are also still a few minor annoyances (adding a new feed does not add to the "folder" you have highlighted, have to "manage subscriptions" to put it in a folder, folders list does not seem to always be updated, and a few others, all minor though).

Basically if you have not seen it in a while it is all new, check it out.

One of the coolest features is the ability to mark items you like to be "shared". Then you can share your shared list via its own feed and your friends can subscribe (and you can stop IM'ing everyone links all day ;)). (And I say "one" because this concept is of course not new, however, it, and other features, along with the entire Reader crisp UI AJAX(GWT?) style make for a really great "application".)
