Red Hat (RHAT) Lower on Talk Oracle (ORCL) to Introduce Linux-Based Software Stack

Rumors are flying that Oracle is going is introduce its own technology "stack" - and this talk has affected the Red Hat share price.

Even further speculation is that Oracle may create their own Linux distro, for said purposes, or just plain buy Ubuntu (which actually would be smart IMO, just hope it doesn't kill the spirit of Ubuntu in the process).

Can you really imagine a scenario where being an Oracle acquisition would not kill the spirit of Ubuntu?

Ok, good point. But Ubuntu is already sort of the "we include commercial free stuff too" distro, so maybe, I mean Larry can keep things all hip for the kids, right?
