Screaming Penguin - Source Does Matter

Over the last three weeks the world has lost two of the greatest character-creator/animators of all time. Iwao Takamoto passed away Monday, and of course Joseph Barbera died recently as well.

Between them these guys created many of the characters I grew up with and have been entertained by for decades. Takamoto created Scooby and that entire cast, and he also did Astro on the Jetsons and the Flintstone's Great Gazoo (along with many others). Barbera of course (with his partner Bill Hanna) brought us the rest of the Flintstones and Jetsons, as well as Yogi Bear (and crew), Tom and Jerry, Johnny Quest, Space Ghost, Speed Buggy, Josie and the Pussycats and many many more (yes there is an IMDB for cartoons ;)).

Creative geniuses, these men both will be missed.
