Nintendo is appearantly upset about those big xBox
banners in your local Toys'R'Us ( mine has the
door transparencies too). Pointing out that the
xBox is 8 months away, they feel people should be
working harder to hawk their boxes -- even though
they suck.
Sorry, Im not a MS evangelist by any stretch, but
Nintendo, Sony and Sega have all dropped the ball
with the current line of consoles -- network
access sucks (ask me about my worthless ethernet
card for the dreamcast, eh), lack of on device
storage ( read: hard disk ) limits the future of
these platforms. What the world really needs is a
dedicated gaming PC, and guess what Bill is about
to sell.
Anyway, here
is some drivel from fuckedcompany.com's leaked
letter:
While I am not attempting to tell any retailer how
to run his business, I am suggesting that Nintendo
with a 48% (ed: huh?) share of the existing
video game market along with your company my have
more concern about the interim health of the
industry than a company with a current zero share
of business.
