I heard about the MIT Music Library access program on the radio a few weeks ago. It is a pretty cool idea. Basically you are doing ASCAP certified DJing over the local cable system on a timeshare channel. After bending over backwards to be in compliance with the law, the heavies came down on MIT this week, shutting the service down. The obvious lesson here, music in libraries is great, as long as no one listens to it.
