I feel like I should let you know that my Inbox is actually quite divided on what will one day be known as the Full Spectrum Warrior Issue.

It's certainly not all bad, some people enjoy it as much as I do, if not more. Then you have people in the middle somewhere, those that like it well enough in single or co-op mode but would like some of the elements from the official Army version - buildings you can enter, civilians, essentially a more complete game experience. I'll tell you how to unlock that in a moment, if you're curious, but I absolutely agree with this assessment - those would have made great additions, I'd love to see them.

Some people are angry that I directed them toward the game to begin with, that I have (in effect) wasted their money. I wish that they'd enjoyed it, but there's not a whole lot I can do about that now.

The official version that the Army uses is actually included on the disc, it can be accessed by inputting the code:

It doesn't quite have the same "spit and polish" as retail, but as a simulator there are some fairly significant differences.
