Screaming Penguin - Source Does Matter

In other Sun news, if you missed it, The Java Desktop Integration Components got all GNUy over Java.net yesterday. Played around with some of it last night and its pretty cool. A standard API for doing file-handler registrations cross platform is cool, doesn't support Mac though :/.

Some other handy little things in there, but I have to say, who cares about an utilities for making an installer package? WebStart is flexible enough and WAY WAY cooler and easier than anything I could have imagined. It may be one of the best things Sun ever did. I am honestly surprised that more people don't use it seeing that you have Azureus and other "actual" Java desktop apps people are using now.
