All of the books in the world contain no more information than is broadcast as video in a single large American city in a single year. Not all bits have equal value.
Netscape 7.2 is throwing a party, but nobody's gonna come

... and it won't be just because they are playing Doom 3 that day.
/. has talk about NN7.2. Seriously, next to Mozilla and Firefox, who cares? Integrated AIM is cool, but most people I know use a unified messaging client anywah.
Frankly I am sort of dissapointed and even pissed at Netscape for releasing 6-7 the way they did before Moz was 1.0.
The original release caused lots of problems and Netscape got hammered because of this, but they just had to release before Moz was ready (and against the recommendation of the moz developers).
This is the same reason I dont like IE, in the past it has sucked. If the software is a beta version and hangs or crashes on a regular basis and such, then ok, at least they are copping to it and calling it beta. However when moz was M18 or whatever and Netscape 6 came out that was some bullshit.
That move alone broke the back of Netscape once and for all. That software was not ready for release as a non beta public offering and it was a huge mistake.
Yeah. I was using Mozilla when NN6 came out, but even by the time NN6 SHIPPED it was 2 M-releases behind the times. Frankly, its nice that the release schedule has slowed down a bit :P
