Because, hey, there is nothing unwholesome about human on demonoid Martian violence AT ALL, Yahoo! over the pond has a peek at Doom 3: The Resurrection of Evil expansion pack:
As the "fathers of the first-person shooter," id Software has always held a defining role in the genre. And with the release of Doom 3 last fall, id was once again on the cutting edge of the technology envelope, even if its gameplay was decidedly retro. But now, evil is resurrected in this upcoming expansion pack, which changes enough single-player and multiplayer elements to almost qualify it as a full-on sequel.
The expansion begins with a cinematic, explaining that the U.A.C. isn't smart enough to leave things alone and has sent a full complement of space marines to the destroyed Mars base. Their mission is twofold: find the sole survivor of the first mission and continue exploring the caverns below the base. Of course, your team stumbles upon something it shouldn't, accidentally opens the doors to hell again, and generally lets loose a bunch of nastiness. Being the unlucky soul at the center of it all, fixing the problem becomes your responsibility. No pressure.
I wonder it the player model will get, um, Rockier.

RE: D3: The Mighty Doom
Yeah now this is completely fine and just. Hell them aliens look a little like they have turbans anyway. This should be REQUIRED in public schools, right after the "under God" and the before we learn evolution is bullshit. God bless, amen.
RE: D3: The Mighty Doom
This is all just a ploy by id Software to drive Epic and Valve out of business. I mean, how else can you explain it? It not only has Martians, but DEMON Martians. Their last game, they weren't just Zombies but NAZI Zombies. It's obvious they are just lobbying Ill. to get a better market share....
