Just a tip for anyone planning an upgrade, the new default SELinux policies won't let you call execmod from /var/tmp (for obvious reasons), this however, breaks the NVidia installer/compiler. Installing 1.0.7664 you need to go do your /etc/selinux/config and set the SELINUX status to "disabled", reboot, install the drivers, change it back and reboot again. SELinux will want to rebuild your policies afterwards, and that is a seriously long deal, but everyone will come back working.
