Screaming Penguin - Source Does Matter

I just finished reading a review for AMD's current shot for processor superiority, the athlon(previously K7), and it sure looks nice. It has a 200MHz FSB, the potential of cracking the 1GHz barrier, and it makes a bitch out of the Pentium III in most every benchmark. In fact, it wins in every benchmark except 1 (AGP texturing w/ 32MB of RAM), and it only loses there by 1.3 points. Everything else is unreal. 139FPS in QuakeII with a TNT2 ultra; 71FPS on the crusher; PIII a good 20FPS behind.Read the review and draw your own conclusion, but let me just say that Im saving my money for August.One side note: with AMD taking massive losses over the last year, they arent gonna play games with their prices. They wont be cheap. The prices should be comprable to current PIII's, but gone are the days that a K6-2 350 costs 55.00 USD.
