OK, more fun from Redmond. Now it looks like Code Red ][ has infected the HotMail servers. I love it. Sort of. Code Red II is officially a pain in my ass. I have had over 5000 scans on my box since Aug. 1. I normally get about 5-7 a day. My little Firewall beeps at me when I get scanned. Lately it has gone off so frequently, that I am starting to pick up different rhythms. I am pretty sure I heard 'Funky Town' this morning. slashdot story

Re: Code Red tags HotMail. :)
yeah, i was gonna post this too, you beat me to it. i dont like all the added traffic and scans, etc (my web servers are gettting tons o requests for the .ida crap that burns the iis boxes, they just respond 404, but thats still traffic) but i really wish someone would permanently take out that spam bastion hotmail!
i personally block a few ISPs TOTALLY at my mail servers, hotmail is one of them. too damn much spam originates there.
and hey, at least this proves that they finally got hotmail running on IIS!!!!! (they have been battling that for literally years, when they bought it is was BSD, and its been more than a bitch to get ANY IIS configuration to hande the load.)
