Cheap OS-Free PC's at walmart.com

Well, seems like Wal-Mart, now the largest company by revenue, is the only company with the muscle to go up against Microsoft. They are now offering software and monitor free computers at some unbelievable costs ($499 for a 1.4 GHz Athlon with 256 Mb SDRAM or $868 for a 2.0GHz P4!).

Typically Microsoft is able to keep the other vendors in line but this is cool stuff. Even though I'm not sure about the "Microtel" brand name and I'm sure customer support is non-existent, with these prices, who cares?
