copyright bullshit

Some people want to bleed the turnip forever.

I just got off the phone with Samuel French,
a NYC agency holding copyright on a stage play
version of "Peter Pan". I wanted to get rights
to use this play for a school fund raiser
telethon on public access TV.

They informed me that audio and TV rights
were simply unavailable.

The book Peter Pan is in the public domain.

I speculated that we could roll our own stage
play and do as we liked.

They speculated that we could be stopped on
a trademark issue (the peanut butter, I guess).

These fellows can flat kiss my ass.   etc ...
