SDSL Update from Analog boy

Well, I said I would give an update once my SDSL connection was installed, but since that looks now like it is never going to happen I will let you know what to look out for.When I called Concentric about getting DSL service, they said "Sure, no problem." Well, six weeks later I still have yet to even hear about getting an install date. It seems Concentric outsources the actual circuit connectivity to NorthPoint.NorthPoint told me it would take a couple of weeks for me to get an install date set from the time I placed my order. So trying to let the system work, like the way it should, I waited the 3 weeks. I actually ended up out of town for the third week, so I didn't really have a chance to touch bases with them. Once I finally was able to get in touch my install rep, she was hard to get in touch with, she informed me that the local telco had not gotten back with her about an install date. She admitted the ball had been dropped and she would resolve the problem as quickly as possible.Well, she was suppose to send the email that day, turns out she did not send the email until 4 days later according to the next rep I talked to. For some reason, no one will allow me to talk directly to her anymore and she does not return my vmail either. They keep telling me she is too busy with another custormer right now.NorthPoint finally did say the problem was the local telco and they needed to do some work in the CO before they could complete the circuit out to my apartment. If this is the case, why can they not get an answer from the local telco? I mean they have to deal with them everyday. Heck, where I work if we can not get an answer from our WAN provider, we just have to make a call to our sales rep, explain ourselves and within a couple of hours we will get an answer.Here it is almost six weeks after I placed my order for something that Concentric said they could do, but NorthPoint does not seem to be able to follow up with. I just wish they had told me up front it was not ready and/or doable right now so I could have not renewed my lease and just moved to wherever I could get some other sort of high-speed internet access.Oh well, I guess I will just have to look elsewhere. Unless you happen to have a little pull w/ either of these companies and can help me out ;)
