Screaming Penguin - Source Does Matter

Ok, Well it is time for me to update my sad story of trying to get a high speed internet connection at home.A friend of mine, going by the name of Seth Roach, made me aware of the fact of another DSL company in the Atlanta area going by the name of Concentric. I checked out there web page and filled out the online form to see what kind of access I could get and pricing. I was approved for a business type SDSL solution since I was over 1600 feet from the CO. The bad news about this is I now have to pay the business rate instead of the cheap $89 ADSL consumer line. I really can not complain though since I really have no other options and I get a lot of the business type perks.The option I am looking at right now is the 416K SDSL circuit for $199 a month. This may seem like a lot of money, ok it is, but I get the installation and DSL router for free saving me about $500 up front. Also I get 8 static IP address and permission to host on my circuit. There are a few others, but the 8 static IPs are what intrest me.I will write an update to this story once anything major happens or I finally get my circuit installed and I will post over my new line.One other thing I want to mention is I called them directly after sending them my request via the web. According to the website they said they have a 72 hour turn around on calling you back and I am kind of impatient when it comes to my SPF factor ;). Also I wanted to get pricing and a real human answer/verification as soon as possible. Then while I was on my way home from work a couple of hours later, I got a call from them in regards to my web request. Now that is service. Well, at least go sales tatics.
