Diplomatic Blunders in the Middle East

The Los Angeles Times has an interesting article explaining why the rest of the world, particularly people in the Middle East, dislike The United States. Worry that other Arabic countries are next in line for "preemptive strikes" has caused considerable Anti-American rhetoric and descent toward governments friendly to the U.S.
There is also a flash simulation of Gulf War II over at Idleworm. While the simulation is a worse case scenario, it does demonstrate that invading Iraq will cause more problems than it will solve.
Frankly, making people in the Middle East hate America and Americans is what caused the attacks a year and a half ago; and waging what is seen as an unjustified war of aggression (regardless of whether it is or not) will not make people like the United States.   Why the US Inspires Scorn

Re: Diplomatic Blunders in the Middle East

totally agree. i keep stating and wondering, what is the point to this war?

it is purported to be to PROTECT the US, but will that be the end result? is more instability and aggression in the arabic part of the world going to make the US more secure in 5 years, ten years, twenty?

i dont get it, i mean i have no love for iraq, no love for saddam, and am not against military action at all when it is warranted, but this makes no sense.
