Cooper and Josh are on the latest JavaPosse. Now instead of just, ladies and gentlemen, thats Dick Wall of . . . , we can add Cooper.
Listen to the show and notice how Cooper talked about TotSP in the context of the Google apps thing, and yet did not say "Screaming Penguin." Dammit man! Though I guess you don't go on the JavaPosse to pimp your blog ;). But even so, when a spot that natural comes up, and you have ended up there anyway, oh well.
And though that plug fell by the wayside, I guess the the important stuff did get handled, as he did get to mention GWT in Practice.

Yeah yeah yeah. Maybe this
Yeah yeah yeah. Maybe this goes to what Bruce said about our being too polite, but I didn't want to come across as plugging my stuff or shanking their show. :P
Funny story about that, though. If you listen to the viewer mail about versioning web services, I was biting my tounge on that one. I really wanted to pipe up and Joe kept trying to pass me the mic, but while in a little less detail, his response to the question was pretty much in line with what I would have said.
Honestly, I haven't heard this ep yet. I hope I didn't sound like a moron. They did a little round-robin thing at the end of the week, and I know I do there. I was saying "ah" so much I began to crack myself up with my inability to stop.
That is so funny. I did not
That is so funny. I did not want to blog post about that, but I was yelling at my radio "where the heck is Cooper on this one! - we are doing this shit right now at the office!" I knew you were likely chomping at the bit over the WS stuff, and I thought I would hear your thoughts on the versioning and a few other WS things - including maybe even a jab back at Tor about what is and is not "boring." And there were actually a few other instances where I thought you might chime in as well, overall though, great job - another Java celeb.
On that note - Joe's explanation was adequate, but it needed the whole reverse proxy versions/non-versions bit added. That way I can change the "version" (if I do not change the interface) and "push" it automatically, and for stuff that does change the interface users can use the versioned service like Joe was saying, it's still there.
