This is interesting, in that it has a name and a video describing it, but that is how I have *always* handled email. I never leave anything just sitting in the inbox, it gets read and either responded to and or categorized, or deleted. Nice tidy email that is manageable, and it worked even before gmail (where now I guess you could not delete anything, I still do, if it's something I know I never want to look at again, and yes you can discern, then I kill it).
