The good Dr. replies very diplomatically about GWT, and sort of passes on Android. Yet he seems a bit frustrated by the questions. One of the follow up questions compares GWT and FX and asks if FX will take the same type approach (emitting browser native code, rather than applets). Gosling says Ajax will only take you so far, but then admits that applets basically suck (they are working on making applets better, bottom line).
