Big news out of the OHA (the organization that Google is in that drives the Android mobile device platform).
Open Handset Alliance gains 14 new members
You might say, pshaaw, so what, but when Ericcson, Sony Ericsson, Toshiba, Garmin, ASUS, and others join an organization already comprised of names like Google, Intel, TI, Sprint, T-Mobile and more it's significant. An open source platform that does all the things Android already does, and will get better with ideas/contributions from new members (Garmin, heh, heh, cool), AND is actually used by device and network companies - HUGE.
I am such a brilliant prognosticator, I predict this Android thing is gonna be big ;). (Yes, that last line was a joke, but you might recall that a lot of pundits panned it before it got rolling - and a lot of people still don't "get" it.)
